Quick Search

Quick Search is a fast, Spotlight-style overlay for jumping anywhere in your project. Press ⌘K (or click the magnifying glass in the toolbar) to open it.

Start typing. Herbert searches across scene and folder titles and body text, highlighting matches as you go. Each result shows the item’s icon, title, its location in the manuscript, and a count of body text matches. If you’ve tagged scenes with properties, matching property pills show up too.

Use ↑/↓ to move through results, Enter to jump to a match, Escape to close. When you jump to a result, Herbert switches to Manuscript view and opens that scene.
